Support for Jair Bolsonaro

Described by Correio Braziliense in October 2022 as a "supporter and enthusiast" of Jair Bolsonaro; in the 2022 campaign, according to BNews, he urged churchgoers to vote for Bolsonaro and attacked Lula on social media. He hosted Bolsonaro at Lagoinha Orlando in June 2022 (an official Presidency photo shows him speaking beside the president) and, in August 2022, called Jair and Michelle Bolsonaro onto the stage at Lagoinha in Belo Horizonte (BH) and prayed for the couple. In December 2025, he prayed for Flávio Bolsonaro at a service in Orlando. In February 2026, he said: "I never abandoned Bolsonaro, not least because I am not a Bolsonarista".
