Support for Jair Bolsonaro

In September 2026, on declaring a vote for Flávio Bolsonaro, he said that "Bolsonaro did good things, many, I was on his side", although he denies adhering to Bolsonarism. In December 2025 he was the only AM senator to vote for the "dosimetry" bill, which reduces sentences of those convicted over 8 January.
