Presbyterian pastor. Minister of Education in the Jair Bolsonaro government from July 2020 to March 2022. He left office after the release of audio about pastors without public office acting in the release of FNDE funds; he was held in pretrial detention by the Federal Police (PF) on 22/06/2022 (Operation Acesso Pago) and released the next day by decision of the TRF-1. He became a defendant at the TRF-1 in 2025 for discrimination against homosexuals, over statements made in 2020.
