Support for Jair Bolsonaro

Elected senator for the PDT in 2014 and a candidate for governor of Roraima in 2018 in alliance with Marina Silva's presidential candidacy, he declared support for Jair Bolsonaro's government in 2020 and joined the support base in the Senate (Congresso em Foco). In July 2022, as a pre-candidate for re-election, he was described by Folha de Boa Vista as a "current defender of President Jair Bolsonaro". A later break was not found in the sources read.
